VISION
When the homeowner approached Partridge, they were looking for an exceptional team of people who could turn their traditional space into something that felt more contemporary. They were looking for a space where they could entertain friends and family by the barbeque, or relax next to the pool. They were looking for the Partridge experience.

Design Features
Drawing inspiration from the traditional design of the house, our team utilized bold linear elements, such as a rectangular pool with cascading water features, to provide an elegant contrast to the landscape.
Subtle details such as rectangular flower beds, an interlocking stonework design on both the patio and pool deck, and the patio furniture abound, providing visual balance and symmetry that accentuates the elegant simplicity of this unique landscape. Finally, the large patio with a built-in barbeque for entertaining unites the various elements of this design, making it a zen space for relaxation and play.
CHALLENGES
A hillside that was a part of the existing backyard presented a unique challenge to our team as they had to subtly incorporate it into their design.
In coming up with the final design, the design team had to subtly play with various elements to achieve a seamless balance between the traditional house design and the contemporary experience the homeowner hoped to achieve for their backyard.
